About American Brown Ale
Unsurprisingly, American Brown Ales are light to dark brown in color. The aroma of these ales is sweet and malty, often with a fruity character. These ales are a drier variant of their English counterpart. The American hop varieties used to produce these ales may also afford these ales notes of citrus and a strengthened hop bite. Ales of this kind have a full malt body, with decided hop bitterness and a dash of citrus. These beers have a medium body and a somewhat dry finish.
