Belgian Blond Ale
About Belgian Blond Ale
Belgian Blond Ales range from light to deep gold in color. A modern variant of the Belgian Strong Ale style, Blond Ales were originally brewed to appeal to drinkers of European Pilsner. Subsequently the aroma and flavor of these beers closely resemble both styles. The aromas of Belgian Blond Ales are earthy and hoppy, with hints of the sweet malt of a Pilsner. These beers are sweet and quite hopped, although this bitterness is balanced well with the malty body. Beers of this kind may be lightly spiced. They are smooth, medium in body, and finish dry.
