About Hybrid Beer
Hybrid beers are those that don't fit neatly as Ale or Lager. Often they are brewed using a combination of the two techniques, or using modern techniques in place of a traditional style. One example of a Hybrid Beer is California Common, which is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at high temperatures, similar to Ale. Unsurprisingly, hybrid beers will tend to exhibit aromas and tastes similar to both Ales and Lagers.
