About Light Lager
Light lagers are pale straw to deep gold in color and typically have a slight hop aroma. Beers of this kind are dry with little hop bitterness. Malty flavors tend to be sacrificed for lower calorie content. These beers are more grainy in flavor, reflecting the rice and corn brewers use to replace malt. Light lagers are highly carbonated and have a crisp, clean finish. As with other light beers, they match well with spicy dishes like Indian curries and Mexican dishes.
