Pilsner is the world's most popular style of beer. An authentic pilsner has a floral aroma and appears deep gold in color. Beers of this style are sharply bitter with a soft malt center and a dry finish. North American interpretations of the style tend to be more watery. These interpretations are often produced for the mass-market and bear little resemblance to the traditional pilsner style.
