About Schwarzbier
Schwarzbiers are medium to very dark brown in color. Their aromas will be gently malty, often with some roasted character. While malt flavors in these lagers remain somewhat muted, there are suggestions of rich flavors like chocolate and roasted malt, often with hints of smokiness. Beers of this style are quite bitter. This bitterness tends to outlast the sweetness of the malt body, creating a dry and lingering finish. These lagers are smooth, medium in body, and high in carbonation.
