About Wood-Aged Beer
The appearance and characteristics of Wood-Aged beers will vary according to the base beer with which they are made. As a rule, these beers will be slightly darker than their base beers, due to the effects of aging in a wood barrel. Beers of this style should be a successful blend of the base beer and the effects of wood-aging. In some cases, flavors of vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, coffee and cocoa may become apparent in the aging process.
