Not much too say except that it is in my top ten all time.

From a tulip at home. Wonderful caramel-grape malt, and crisp mildly tart apple yeast character. Apple tartness highlighted by moderately high carbonation. Slight warming from the alcohol on the roof of my mouth. It transitions to a drying in the mouthfeel in the after taste. Over all quite enjoyable and moderately drinkable for strong abbey ale.

Persephone Pils September 25, 2011

Straw gold appearance with a pleasant yeast haze that I prefer from the bottom of the bottle, otherwise quite clear. Aroma combination of hops and yeast leaned toward apricot, not notably hop forward. Pleasant spicy hop bitterness with a noticeable and expected alcohol flavor. The alcohol balanced well with the estery yeast flavor, which might have reminded me of apricot.

Great seasonal. The more golden color is unexpected for a winter seasonal.. and in many ways it is quite refreshing to see! Very piney chinook hop character, balanced surprisingly well considering the pale malt backbone.

Rich golden-amber color, with a balanced resinous citrous hop flavor. I have had it on draft at the brewery many times and in 12oz. bottles. Pretty consistent all around. I like the bottle-conditioned texture to the carbonation.

Initially more of a roasted flavor than I was hoping, but eventually balanced hop bitterness was more apparent.

From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at the Cheesemonger in Leavenworth, WA The aroma and flavor characteristics imparted by the sake barrel transformed an already excellent beer to something special. Very drinkable for a barrel-aged beer. I should try this beer again and write the proper tasting note it deserves.
