Discover a Better Night Out

You may have noticed something changed.

That’s right, you’re looking at the revamped Pintley Blog. While at first glance it may look like just another shiny new paint job, its really much more than that. In a few weeks, Pintley will launch the next version of its mobile apps and website. This update will be the first of several over the next few months. While we aren’t ready to reveal the full picture just yet, we would like to give you a peek at what’s going on behind the curtain.

We started Pintley with one simple goal: to help you discover beer you’ll love. And so far, we think we’ve done a pretty good job of that. While we were busy perfecting our recommendations and giving away thousands of dollars in free craft beer every month, over 40,000 of you signed up for the Pintley experience. And you didn’t just sit on your hands after you joined; you rated over 1.3 million beers!  So we’re very proud of what this tiny team of 3 has accomplished so far. But we don’t believe in resting on our laurels.

Today, we are announcing our new initiative to help you Discover a Better Night Out. Not only do we want you to find beer you’re sure to love, but we want you to share it with your friends in new ways and at interesting places. After all, we believe that sharing great beer with great people is key to a great life.

To kick off this initiative, we’ll be bringing this philosophy to our blog with brand new content and continuous updates on our progress. You’ll also see a revamped newsletter and even a new program—Pintley Elite—for our most loyal users. But most importantly, you’ll see some fantastic changes to the apps. We’ll be giving you all the tools you need to explore the world of beer and discover the beers, bars, and nightlife you’ll love.

Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.

If you want people to discover beer. You really need to speed up the process of accepting user submitted beers. Or simply allow a greater degree of user participation in accepting and managing the database.

The idea of a site for rating beer quickly becomes mute when a large percentage of the beer you drink is not available for rating.

Great point, Tiran. We’ve gotten thousands of requests over the past few weeks, so we do have a bit of a backlog. That said, we’re working hard to catch up, and we should be caught up soon. Thanks for your patience!
