About Other Mead

As with other meads, those in this category will be clear, but color can range from light straw to black. The aroma of these meads will vary depending on the base beer, but notes of honey should always be identifiable. As this is somewhat of a catch-all category, meads of this kind may differ substantially in flavor. There may be flavors of spice and herbs or of caramel and chocolate, the alcohol content may be insignificant or substantial, and the finish may be dry or sweet.
